Lung Power: Pulmonary rehabilitation program

Respiratory services offers an education and exercise program called Lung Power for individuals with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and their families. A respiratory therapist provides information and instructs on the skills to better self-manage the illness.

The goal of Lung Power is to improve quality of life by increasing knowledge of the disease, improving stamina and applying coping skills and self-management techniques to better manage the disease.

The educational series consists of six weekly classes in conjunction with an individualized, supervised exercise program to increase exercise tolerance. A physician referral is required for program participation.

To contact someone at the Lung Power program call 763-236-6867.
