Low-cost stroke and heart screenings offered at Mercy Hospital on Tuesday, July 7
COON RAPIDS, MN 06/05/2009--Low-cost heart and stroke screenings will offered Tuesday, July 7 from 7-11 a.m. at Mercy Hospital Women’s Cardiovascular Health Center, 4050 Coon Rapids Blvd. in Coon Rapids, Minnesota.
The screening includes a heart/stroke questionnaire; blood pressure; a fasting blood test for total cholesterol, HDL (high density lipoprotein) or “good” cholesterol, LDL (low density lipoprotein) or “bad” cholesterol, triglycerides and blood glucose (sugar).
Individual screening results and the related risks of heart disease, stroke and diabetes will be explained by a health professional.
The cost of the entire program is $30 per person. Fasting is required and will be explained during registration.
