Unity Hospital is in better shape than ever. All-New Emergency RoomOur newly renovated and expanded ER offers private rooms with amenities like individually controlled lighting and temperature for your comfort, and flat-screen televisions and telephones to keep you connected. New Integrated Cancer CenterUnity Hospital broke ground on a new cancer center in December 2009 to give patients in the north metro comprehensive and integrative cancer care in a single location. The Viriginia Piper Cancer Institute at Unity Hospital is expected to open fall 2010. The new center, in partnership with Minnesota Oncology, will include a state-of-the-art cancer clinic, laboratory, and chemotherapy infusion center. Other services offered in the center will include clinical trials; financial, genetic and nutritional counseling; and clinical nurse specialists. Building Allina Medical ClinicsUnity Hospital works closely with Allina Medical Clinics throughout the Twin Cities to provide hospital services when needed. We are proud to announce two new Allina Medical Clinic locations in Blaine and Brooklyn Park recently opened and are accepting new patients. Remodeling Throughout the HospitalFrom our all-new ER and main entrance to the remodeled lobby and cafeteria, patients and visitors are enjoying the new look and feel of Unity Hospital. Unity recently was awarded a Level III Trauma designation by the Minnesota State-wide Trauma System of the Minnesota Department of Health (MDH). Unity is one of only seven hospitals in Minnesota to receive this designation. Live Surgery on the WebUnity is a leading hospital in the Twin Cities for comprehensive, personalized weight loss surgery care. Now you can watch one of these surgeries live on our web site, through a new technology called OR-Live that brings people into the operating room through the internet. Electronic Medical RecordsEliminating paper patient records at all our Allina hospitals, clinics and pharmacies, our electronic medical records means you only need to provide your health information once, and it is immediately available at any Allina hospital or clinic. Your provider can view your complete medical history with a few computer mouse clicks and get your test results sooner. It also better connects your health care information with your Allina health care team -- your primary care doctor, hospital team of nurses and doctors, and your pharmacist, providing you with the best care possible.
